Our Patron, Lisa B We are privileged to have the wonderful Lisa B as Learning for Life's patron. Lisa has modelled with Chanel and Guess jeans, and has acted in Rabbit Fever, Highlander and Bridget Jones' Diary (she was Hugh Grant's US girlfriend). Lisa says, "I admire Learning for Life because ignorance breeds ignorance. That is the core of so many of the world's problems... I'm lucky to have such good fortune in my life and I want to share it as much as I can and use any ability that I have to help others." Lisa helped organise a fashion show with Monsoon to raise money for victims of the 2005 Pakistan Earthquake. She also raised over £20,000 by appearing in Hello! magazine. Lisa has been brilliantly supportive of our work, even lending us her home, a beautiful Buckinghamshire country estate, to hold fundraising events. |
