Learning for Life enables South Asia's most marginalised populations to gain access to education, health and employment - the basic human rights that form the first, essential step in overcoming poverty.
We work with local partners to provide catch-up education for working children who have never been to school or have dropped out, training for teachers, vocational training and reproductive health services for women, and capacity-building and rights awareness for communities. We provide our local partners, who understand local issues, with the skills and support to help communities set up and manage practical and sustainable projects that meet their real needs.

We work in Bangladesh Nepal and India, and have long-established links with Pakistan and Afghanistan

CORNONAVIRUS EMERGENCY APPEAL UPDATE
Thank you for supporting our COVID-19 Relief Appeal. Thanks to your generosity we were able to provide food and hygiene parcels for 800 families in Bangladesh.
We were also able to continue conducting lessons for children and adolescent girls throughout the lockdown by moving classes outside and working with smaller groups.
Our staff provided ongoing support for individual families across our target area throughout the pandemic.
We are now moving into the "Covid Recovery" phase of our work, which focuses on getting children back into schools and providing catch-up classes for those who have fallen behind. We have also introduced a digital learning programme to the area so that children can take part in online lessons and programmes.
Learning for Life is working urgently with our partners in Bangladesh and Nepal to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. LfL works with children and girls in some of the most deprived and rural areas to ensure that they receive an education.
