Shernaz Engineer

Shernaz is Chair of the World Zoroastrian Chamber of Commerce, UK Chapter, which encourages young Zoroastrians in entrepreneurship. A Founding Freeman of the Company of Entrepreneurs and Chair of their New Membership Committee. Shernaz served as Governor of Charlotte Sharman Primary School for twelve years, was a board member for ten years, of the Asian Women’s Resource Centre, which assists women experiencing domestic violence and now is a fervent supporter. She was also a board member of Tamasha Theatre. Shernaz is a great supporter of the British Heart Foundation and latterly has spearheaded their Women and Heart Disease Campaign. She was a panel member of the Bank of England Small Business Panel. In 2003, she was awarded the London Day Business Award by the Mayor of London. In 2011, she won the Asian Achievers Award for Business in the Community. In 2019, Shernaz was one of 100 women nominated by Mayor Sadiq Khan as Women Who Make London Great. In 2021 Shernaz was recognised as one of the 50 Leading Lights for Kindness and Leadership.
