Learning for Life launches its first

Business Network at the London Capital Club

Learning for Life hosted its Business Network launch on 19th November at the London Capital Club.

The event was a great success with those present making new contacts and at which Learning for Life had the perfect opportunity to engage with new philanthropic businesses that had an interest in South Asia.  The guests were welcomed by Learning for Life staff and trustees and enjoyed canapés and refreshments before hearing a presentation from one of our Trustees, Shernaz Engineer – herself an entrepreneur - who spoke about Learning for Life’s work in helping to give an education to women and children in Nepal and Bangladesh.

One of our dedicated volunteers Tom Fish, (who is an Assistant Producer at a London Media company) recently visited our projects in Bangladesh (Floating School and Child-Labour Elimination) to record an awareness film for us.  He recounted his experiences of seeing the children really enjoying themselves at school and witnessing first-hand how important Learning for Life’s work is out there.

The aim of the Business Network is to bring together like-minded organisations and individuals to share business contacts and opportunities. At the same time our members support Learning for Life's inspirational poverty-reduction work across Nepal, India and Bangladesh.
